Are the Best Looking Cars the Most Exciting?

There are some cars that are very good looking, but they aren't as exciting to see. Take the Lamborghini Murcielago for example: it's a very sexy car, but if you're a car enthusiast, you probably hear about it all the time. You probably see it a lot too, whether it's on the road or online. It takes some of the mystique away and becomes like an overplayed song on the radio.

However, a Ferrari F50 is something you don't see or hear about often, even in the media. Seeing one in person really feels like a special occasion.

Or take a very odd shape, such as the Lamborghini Espada. That car is not what the average person would call "beautiful," but it's rare, and you hardly ever see one even in the media. It just feels so much more special to see one.

Ferrari Testarossa w/ Fuchs Exhaust Revving and sounds!

Ferrari Testarossa is one of the most iconic exotic cars with a little help from Miami Vice. The flowing lines and the infamous side strakes are pure sex appeal. Unfortunately, the exhaust note is very quiet with a stock exhaust. Thanks to this video by Youtube user TwinCharched, we get to hear what a Testarossa should sound like. The revving starts right at the beginning of the video. This example is fitted with a very loud Fuchs exhaust system. This is the kind of alarm I would like to wake up to in the morning.

Lamborghini Espada accelerations

The Lamborghini Espada was a very unique design from the 1970s. It was a front engined V12 and a four seater.

Cars like the Lamborghini Gallardo and Murcielago are very stunning cars, but they are seen and talked about often. Cars like the Espada are very rare, and they are not seen very often. Seeing one in person feels like a special occasion. Here, you will get to see a quick overview of the car, as well as hear the startup and the sound of the V12 come alive as it accelerates away - twice!

The Lamborghini Cala was a running concept in 1995 that was meant to be the replacement for the Lamborghini Jalpa, or the next "baby Lambo." Unfortunately, production was cancelled when Audi took over. It would be interesting to see how this car would have done had it gone into production.

Lotus Elise ride w/ GoPro

I took a ride in a Lotus Elise and hooked the external mic right next to the exhaust. The sound came out fantastic! One of the best purchases I have made.

Magnacharged Corvette Z06 on Dyno

As if a 7 liter V8 wasn't enough, here is a Corvette Z06 with a magnacharger! It pulled 698 horsepower on the dyno, and started smoking pretty badly.

695 HP Shelby GT500 Super Snake on Dyno

I had the opportunity to film the beastly Shelby GT500 Super Snake being dyno'd at 695 horsepower to the wheels. This car has the loudest supercharger whine I have ever heard.

At the Glemoor Gathering 2012, here we see 3 vintage Ferraris driving away, including the Ferrari 250 Lusso, 275 GTB, and 275 GTS. It's quite a sight seeing such rare, vintage Ferraris on the road.

This was at the Glenmoor Gathering in Canton Ohio. This was one of the highlights - seeing TWO Lamborghini Miuras accelerating away. That is a very rare sight.

Dodge Viper: World Challenege Series

I have always loved the sound of the Viper, whether it be a race or road going version. This was the World Challenge Series, recorded at Mid-Ohio.

Mustangs Gone Wild: Burnouts, fishtailing, accelerating

This was held at a show called Mustang Memories, and they had hundreds and hundreds of Mustangs! This video shows the cars leaving. It's an action packed video of one Mustang after another doing burnouts, accelerations, and fishtailing!

This was at Norwalk and was the very last pass of the night after the Top Fuel dragsters. They really go over the top for these events, and I like it!

This was one of the most exciting shows I have been to. There was more than just the usual Lamborghini Gallardo and Murcielago. Here you will see several rare cars, like the Lamborghini Countach, LM002, Jalpa, Urraco, Espada, Ferrari F40, and many others roaring by as they leave the show. This was the 2012 Italian Gathering, one of my favorite all time shows.

Supercharged NSX Drag Racing

This is an early Acura NSX at the drag strip. The engine itself is stock, tuned by Lovefab, and with an added supercharger. This video shows a few different passes down the strip with many different camera angles. The sound picked up from the external mic is phenomenal.

Ferrari 599 GTO Revving & Accelerate

This is the final video from the Toronto trip. This was taken at the Marques d'elegance show in Burlington, Ontario in Canada. The event was held at a mansion right along the shoreline. The view was spectacular, along with a classical violinist who sounded fantastic. Enjoy this video of the Ferrari 599 GTO revving loudly and accelerating.

Mclaren MP4 12C High Sport (1 of 15 made)

DtRockstar1 records a very special edition of the new McLaren, called the McLaren MP4-12C High Sport. The story is that an owner of a McLaren F1 and an SLR McLaren wanted a special edition of the MP4-12C. McLaren agreed, and made just five examples. Then, people saw these and asked if they could get one too. McLaren agreed to build 10 more, so what you are seeing here is 1 of 15 cars in the world. It has the special operations badge, which is on the McLaren F1, diamond cut wheels, carbon fiber mirrors, carbon interior, a racing rear diffuser, and it costs $559,000 USD. This is chassis #8 of 15, and was seen at McLaren of Toronto.

Lamborghini Diablo Borla Exhaust

This was at a show in Burlington, Ontario in Canada called the Marques d'elegance, which was just spectacular. It was in the backyard of a mansion, which was right along the water. Amazing view. What we see here is a Lamborghini Diablo with a Borla exhaust, which is possibly the loudest Diablo I've heard. Be sure to check out the video of all the cars leaving!
